Message from Brian Higgins

On November 7, 2006 the voters in New York's 27th Congressional District honored me with their overwhelmingly support, sending me back to Washington, D.C. to represent their best interests in our nation's Capitol.  As your voice in Washington, I recognize that for Western New York to move forward and thrive we need to partner together and stand up for what is best for this community.

In two short years we stood up to the New York Power Authority and delivered $279 million dollars for waterfront development, we stood up for our fair share of federal investment delivering millions for public safety and transportation improvements in Erie and Chautauqua Counties, and we stood up to the New York State Thruway Authority getting our next elected leaders to promise to make travel into the City of Buffalo toll free. We worked hard, together, but there is still much more to be done.

This is just the beginning.  Western New York's future is limitless, but we need leadership that continues to push through the barriers that have led this community to too many years of inertia.

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Higgins for Congress website.  With your support I will continue to lead the charge on the issues that matter most to Western New York residents.
